Landscape/portrait format

An important concept concerns the landscape format (16/9) and the portrait format (9/16). It is important to understand the difference between these 2 formats because when broadcasting a content it will always be broadcast in its original format.

This means that if you play a portrait content while your screen is oriented in landscape format, the result will not be optimal. You will see black bands on each side of the content.
